Paperless 101: Ethics and Post-Paper Lawyering

General Information

Paperless 101: Ethics and Post-Paper Lawyering is a one-hour online CLE course that discusses the practical and ethical reasons why a lawyer should begin to manage documents digitally rather than with paper files, folders and cabinets. It covers the basic principles of digital document management. More advanced discussion of digital document management is offered in our video Paperless 102: Working with PDFs, CaseMap and Mindmanager, which is also approved for CLE credit in Louisiana.

Obtaining MCLE Credit

Under Louisiana MCLE rules, a Louisiana lawyer may obtained up to 4 hours each year of on-line CLE Credit. This course has been approved for 1 hour of Louisiana MCLE credit (including ethics). To obtain credit, you need to do the following three things.

    This is a great idea for all lawyers to pursue. We use all digital records with our patent attorney. It has saved us a ton in mailing and the digital records are much easier to store and find.

    Not to mention save paper and trees as well. I think that this method is brilliant since it saves both time and money. Using digital records such as this is all thanks to our modern technology.
