On-Line CLE

Under the MCLE rules of the Louisiana Supreme Court, Louisiana lawyers may receive up to 4 hours of technologically assisted CLE programming per year. However, not all on-line programs are preapproved for credit in Louisiana. For this reason, the MCLE Committee:

strongly recommends that members obtaining this kind of credit get their courses from the pre-approved group in the MCLE Calendar of Technologically Assisted Programming. All courses have been reviewed for content, and the sponsors have verified that they will follow our accreditation guidelines and will also report attendance upon completion of the program.

Given these rules, it is critically important to take on-line CLE courses only from providers who have obtained preapproval from the Louisiana MCLE Committee.

The on-line CLE programs below have been preapproved for MCLE credit by the Louisiana MCLE Committee.

On-Line CLE Programs

  1. Paperless 101: Ethics and Post-Paper Lawyering: Preapproved for one (1) hour of Louisiana MCLE credit (including one (1) hour of ethics) effective Dec. 14, 2009.
  2. Paperless 102: Working with PDFs, CaseMap and Mindmanager: Preapproved for one (1) hour of Louisiana MCLE credit (including one (1) hour of law office practice) effective December 16, 2009.
